Robbie Williams Set To Get His Own Musical

Just when you thought the hype surrounding Take That’s comeback tour couldn’t get any bigger, it has been revealed that a musical about the career of Robbie Williams is in the pipeline.
According to The Sun, Williams has given his consent for work to begin on a production about his career to date. The musical is currently in the planning stages, however Williams is said to have already given permission for the use of his entire catalogue of solo material.
A source told the newspaper: "Robbie is bang up for the musical and thinks it will be a fun production. He loves West End shows and is honoured they will be doing one about his life." The play is set to be performed at London’s Old Vic venue, and producers have already started auditioning prospective ‘Robbies’.
It is not the first time that Williams has been depicted on stage, as 2007 saw the premiere of a popular production based on the music of Take That. The musical toured the UK before eventually taking up a London residency in early 2008.
Despite media speculation about Take That’s supposed falling out recently, Williams confirmed this week that he would definitely be taking part in the bands extensive UK stadium tour later this year.
