Foo Fighters Announce April 11th Release Date For New Album

Rock veterans Foo Fighters yesterday announced that they will be releasing their much-anticipated new record on April 11th.
The follow-up to 2007’s ‘Echoes, Silence, Patience And Grace’ was showcased last week at a secret show in Santa Barbara, and by all accounts it’s a heavy one. Lucky fans at the Velvet Jones Club were quick to assert the loud nature of the release, which frontman Dave Grohl has hinted may be called ‘Back and Forth’.
The album has been produced by Butch Vig (of ‘Nevermind’ fame) and will also feature contributions from Grohl’s Nirvana bandmate Krist Novoselic. Those wanting to get an early taste of the release can hear samples of the record at foofighters.fm, where the band have currently installed their own radio with various audio clips (hint: try 101.5 and 95.0 on the virtual dial).
Meanwhile, the band are gearing up for an impressive series of shows on this side of the Atlantic in the upcoming months. Not only are the Foos headlining Wembley Arena on February 25th for the NME big gig, but the band also have two Milton Keynes Arena shows scheduled for July and headline spots at both T in The Park and Isle of Wight Festivals.
