Scottish rock band Biffy Clyro have touring up and down the UK and Europe for over ten years, releasing albums and winning awards. But now the band have set themselves a new challenge – conquering the world.
The trio are about to set out on a US tour and have had enough of being underground outside of Europe, and are aiming to finally crack the states.
Lead singer Simon Neil is confident ahead of the massive tour, revealing "We went for 10 years as a band without anyone giving a shit. We've been doing it a long time but we were fairly underground for some time. We had a hardcore following but were not on magazine covers. But we've got better as a band and had the time to develop."
"Bands always want to conquer the world. We want to get to a larger audience and it has been a dream for us to come to the States. We grew up listening to American bands. It's a huge country that has the variety we like."
The group were actually supposed to tour American last year – until passport troubles left their aims of winning of the hearts of the US in limbo. But the boys are ready for take two, and they travel across the pond, with their first date on the 10th of February in Washington D.C.
