Steps To Reunite For Charity Show And TV Series

90s pop band Steps are set to reunite for a TV series, culminating in a special one-off charity gig. The show will mark a decade since the original line-up of the child-friendly band decided to break up.

All five members, Lee Latchford-Evans, Ian "H" Watkins, Lisa Scott-Lee, Claire Richards and Faye Tozer are commited to the series, which will feature three episodes discussing their time as a band (1997-2001) and their resulting careers since its ending.

The band are in talks with broadcaster Sky to host the series on Sky Living, hoping for a broadcast date in late 2011. A source close to the band said: "Faye, Lisa and Lee all previously said they were up for a reunion while Claire and H took a bit more persuasion." He continued to assert that the band have been closer over the past year than ever before since the break-up.

The news comes just weeks after another boy band announced they were rejoining the ranks: Blue revealed earlier this month that they would be competing in this year’s Eurovision competition as the UK’s official act.
