BBC Sound of 2011 nominee Anna Calvi has confirmed that she will postpone some of her UK tour dates due to an injury.
She cancelled gigs on Saturday and today at Birmingham’s Hare and Hounds, as well as tomorrow’s gig at the Manchester Deaf Institute, Brighton’s Komedia on March 2nd and at The Cooler in Bristol on the fourth.
The newly celebrated star and her band will surely be gutted to have to cancel the shows – but she has established that they will be re-arranged for different dates. Her March 8th onwards tour of the US and Canada will continue as normal.
The injury, thought to be in her right shin, have forced the star to pull out of the shows, but according to the official Anna Calvi Facebook page the singer will announce the dates of the rescheduled shows “as soon as possible”.
