Under The Driftwood Tree To Play Live London Show At The Bedford This Thursday

Cardiff-based, five-piece band Under The Driftwood Tree have announced a free show at London's live music venue The Bedford this Thursday 3rd March.
Meeting through shared interests in music and surfing Under The Driftwood Tree craft “surf-folk” music by blending imaginative songwriting, rusty vocals and poetic percussion to fill you with a sense of well-being and transform thier songs into mini-tales.
They began playing regularly at popular live music venues in Cardiff and were the Welsh winners of the Surface Unsigned Festival in 2009, shortlisted from 30,000 applicants and performed at IndigO2 in the The O2 in London. Last June Under The Driftwood Tree performed at The Eden Sessions with Jack Johnson in Cornwall.
Known for their excellent vocal harmonies, the band were invited to Radio 1 by presenter Fearne Cotton for a BBC Introducing session. Check them out below.
Having recently returned from a successful tour of Ireland, Under The Driftwood Tree were awarded the Isambard Nu-Folk Award last Saturday night in Bristol. The triumph now means that Under The Driftwood Tree will be performing on the main stage at the forthcoming Bristol Folk Festival, playing alongside acts such as Seth Lakeman and the recently confirmed for this year's V Festival, Bellowhead.
