Beach Break Live Festival Confirms Tinie Tempah, Katy B, We Are Scientists & More For 2011 Line-Up

Ladies and gentlemen boys and girls, the magical, star-studded, balmy beach side bonanza Beach Break Live powered by Del is back  for a fifth year and following a sizzling sell out 2010 show, is proud to welcome a tidal wave of fantastic artists to the 2011 bill!

Hotter than a billy goat in a pepper patch, this year’s line up promises to be the biggest to date. Set on a stunning site complete with 8 miles of pristine silky white sand, an adult adventure playground, acres of beautiful woodland and it’s very own ski slope, brace yourself for 4 days and 4 nights of sun, sand, music and memory making!

Spanning everything from indie to grime to pop and back again, this year’s line up looks set to blow your socks off! Organisers can exclusively reveal that squeezing into his speedos and heading to the beach this June to headline one of the four fantastic nights, will be man of the moment, pop-rap super star Tinie Tempah! With a string of number one singles, MOBOS and Brits under his belt, this man can do no wrong and BBL are very excited to have him on the bill!

Also confirmed for 2011 and performing live is dubstep super group Magnetic Man. Having stormed the charts in 2010 with their amazing album ‘Magnetic Man,’ Skream, Benga and Artwork bring a revitalised form of dubstep to the table taking it out of basement clubs and firmly into the mainstream and now to the shores of South Wales!

Joining them will be New York’s most charming indie band, the epic We Are Scientists! Brace yourself for a truly infectious performance complete with super catchy guitar riffs, hilarious antics and bags of personality as the Brooklyn boys give it some serious welly.

Also hitting the shores for Beach Break Live will be rising mega starlet Katy B. A little girl with a big voice, Katy B shot to fame after lending her vocals to a string of Magnetic Man tracks. This year has seen the honey voiced chanteuse step into the limelight, so watch this space as this South London lady is a definite force to be reckoned with! Following a recent string of banging collaborations including the dance floor banger ‘Lights On’ with Katy B, First lady of the streets Ms Dynamite will also be flying the female flag!

Trading his urban jungle for the beach this June will be London rap sensation Professor Green. Dubbed the British Eminem and recent NME award winner, the east London youngster has gone from strength to strength.

Joining him will be the amazing Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs aka Orlando Higginbottom. Donning his trademark dinosaur outfit and bringing his unique sound to the beach, get ready to gobble him down in huge chunks as he treats you to an awe-inspiring performance like no other.

They will also be joined by be-quiffed Sunderland indie pop boys Frankie and The Heartstrings who will be bringing their insanely catchy foppish brand of retro indie rock to the beach. Expect a super tight sing along feel good set that wont fail to have you bopping!

Elsewhere on the bulging 2011 bill and keeping up to date with the hottest tracks of 2011 will be Radio 1 heavyweight Zane Lowe. Sub Focus will also treat you to another earth-shattering live performance followed closely by stylish, brit award nominee, Marc Ronson. Joining them will be a bucket load of world class DJs including the ever-impressive London Elektricity, drum & bass maestro Shy FX and returning mash-up master DJ Yoda!

And that’s not all! The top-notch line up is just part of what BBL has to offer. If dancing the hours away isn’t energetic enough then there will be a bucket load of activities such as surfing, wakeboarding and paddle boarding as well as beach side sports ranging from volleyball to ultimate Frisbee and kiteboarding to land sailing! The legendary Celtic Games will also be returning along with other craic from pole dancing to parkour, moustache making to macramé, the silent disco, pub karaoke, vintage fairground rides and strictly come raving amongst others!

With more amazing extras and line up additions still to be pulled out of the bag watch this space for further announcements!

For the first time, the festival will also be held over a weekend which will allow non students and graduates alike to relive their student days in true Beach Break fashion!
