Gwyneth Paltrow Set To Sign Record Deal?

Gwyneth Paltrow has recently courted rumours that she is set to sign a record contract and release solo material. The ‘Sliding Doors’ actress, who made an acclaimed performance on hit TV series ‘Glee’ earlier this year, announced yesterday that she is discussing potential contracts with a number of labels

Speaking to ‘Access Hollywood’, the American actress remained allusive but confirmed that she was in talks. When asked about the prospect of a record deal, she said: "We're talking about it now, so we'll see."

As well as her appearance on ‘Glee’ late last year, Paltrow also made a distinct impression with her vocal performance in recent film ‘Country Strong’. The film’s soundtrack, which featured the actress singing two songs, was nominated for an Oscar.

The actress is set to reprise her role as supply teacher Holly Holiday in ‘Glee’ next month. Speaking about the return, Paltrow said that she enjoyed doing something different than serious film roles. She said: "My parts were usually quite serious and I was looking for something fun and different to do."

She continued: "When Ryan [Murphy – ‘Glee’ Creator] asked me to be on ‘Glee’, I thought, 'How much fun would it be to sing and dance and just be ridiculous and silly?' I'm just having so much fun."
