JLS, Adele, Take That And Elbow To Perform On Red Nose Day

JLS, Adele and Take That are all set to appear on this year’s televised Red Nose Day programme for Comic Relief.

According to a statement made by the BBC this morning, the three bands will also be joined by Elbow, Annie Lennox and The Wanted, who released this year’s official comic relief single ‘Gold Forever’. The event will be shown live on BBC One on March 18th.

Speaking about the event, JLS singer Marvin Humes showed his enthusiasm as he said: "Me and all the boys always want to get involved with Red Nose Day and Comic Relief. It's a fantastic cause and it's great to be a part of it. It's always an amazing night and raises so much money."

Although final details are yet to be confirmed, it is believed that Annie Lennox will be performing ‘Universal Child’, Take That are set to give a rendition of their latest single ‘Kidz’ and Adele will sing the current UK Number One ‘Someone Like You’.

Also contributing to the campaign is George Michael, who recently recorded a cover of the New Order track ‘True Faith’ for the BBC charity appeal. The song will be released digitally on March 13th with physical copies made available the following day.
