Indie duo Big Deal are to join Grouplove and headliner Anna Calvi for the Emerge NME Radar Tour in May. The tour begins on 1st May in Portsmouth and stops at a number of cities across the country before finishing at London’s KOKO venue. See below for dates. Big Deal will also release new single ‘Talk’ on 4th April.
Big Deal are made up of American-born Kacey Underwood and British-born Alice Costelloe. They started writing music together last year and are currently working on their debut album, which is expected later this year. The single ‘Talk’ is their first release following their recent signing to Mute Records.
Joining Big Deal on the Emerge NME Radar Tour are LA-based indie-rockers Grouplove, who released their self-titled debut EP last year. The band have previously toured with Florence and the Machine in the US.
Headlining this year’s Emerge NME Radar Tour is London singer-songwriter Anna Calvi, who recently released her eponymous debut album. The album entered the Top 40 in the UK Albums Chart and earned a number of praising reviews throughout the press. It also achieved some commercial success elsewhere in Europe, reaching the Top 20 in France and Belgium. Calvi was also nominated for the BBC Sound of 2011.
