Bombay Bicycle Club Recruit Arcade Fire Producer For New Album

London rockers Bombay Bicycle Club have recruited a production team made up of Ben Allen and Craig Silvey to work on their third studio release. Allen has previously produced for Animal Collective, while Silvery worked worked as mixer on Arcade Fire’s ‘The Suburbs’ and Anna Calvi’s upcoming self-titled debut album.

The band are already said to have five tracks finished with producer Jim Abiss, but according to singer Jack Steadman they will complete sessions with the different production team of Allen and Silvey.

Speaking to The Fly, the young singer said: "We've got three tracks left to do... I went to Atlanta to meet him [Allen] and we got on really well. These tracks are definitely the most electronic and sample-based ones, so we thought he'd be perfect."

Steadman went on to claim that the band had enlisted Silvery (a professional mixer) to mix the album because they were scared of having the mixing on their as-of-yet untitled album being done completely by producers.

The follow-up to their critically-acclaimed acoustic LP ‘Flaws’ is yet to be given an official release date, though progress reports indicate that it should be expected in September or October this year.
