Rihanna “Amazed” At Britney Remix – Listen Now

Tuesday, 12 April 2011 Written by James Conlon

Rihanna has heaped praise on Britney Spears’ contribution to her remixed single ‘S&M’, calling the track “amazing”. The ‘Umbrella’ star unveiled the remix on her Twitter page this weekend, claiming that the remix is far better than her already-released original.

The Barbadian singer was interviewed by Z100’s Morning Show yesterday, where she claimed that having Spears collaborate on her track was “major”. Rihanna said: "At first, we didn't know what the song was going to do because of the lyrics, but it became really big on radio and its number one at Pop this week. In order to do a remix, it had to be major. I asked my fans last week who they wanted me to collaborate with, and Britney was one of the most popular names."

Rihanna went on to claim that the collaboration was made all the more enjoyable by the fact that Spears rarely gives her consent to appear on tracks by other artists. She said: "It's very strange - Britney never does features. It was really amazing that she really wanted to be part of this song. She really liked the song to begin with, but it was a different story when she had to sing it, and she really wanted to be a part of it. It made it really special, because you never see two pop female artists doing songs together anymore. Just call us 'RNB'."
