Frankie & The Heartstrings Announce Shows With Kaiser Chiefs & Tickets

Sunderland’s Frankie & The Heartstrings are to support Leeds pop kings Kaiser Chiefs on their comeback shows in Falmouth, as they continue their string of UK shows leading up to their own raft of festival dates.
The shows, on June 7th and 8th see F&TH follow up a show with label mates The Cribs tonight at Coventry’s Kasbah. The band have also confirmed to play at Ireland’s premier festival Oxygen in July. Further festival dates will be announced in the coming weeks.
F&TH have also revealed details for a London headline show on 23rd September at ULU where they will be supported by fellow North Easteners Little Comets, plus their return to Reading & Leeds festivals in August following their heartily received sets on the NME/Radio 1 stages last year.
Last week Frankie & the Heartstrings released single 'That Postcard', taken from F&TH Top 40 debut album 'Hunger' which features producer Edwyn Collins on backing vocals. The bands’ admiration for Collins and his former band Orange Juice is no secret and 'That Postcard' tips its hat to the great man with a fond reference to his Channel 4 sitcom of yore West Heath Yard while the b-side to this digital only single is a cover of Collins’ 'Searching For The Truth' from his recent album 'Losing Sleep'.
