Rebecca Black To Feature In Katy Perry’s New Video

Internet sensation (for all the wrong reasons) Rebecca Black is set to appear in Katy Perry’s upcoming music video, according to reports. The ‘Friday’ singer, who has currently notched up a humble 161 million views on YouTube, is set to appear in the promo for Perry’s ‘Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F)’.
The 13-year-old singer can be seen sitting on a sofa in the teaser for the video, which was unveiled on Katy Perry’s official YouTube account yesterday. After discovering that Black will feature in the video, a number of fans have asked whether the young singer will be singing in the promo or even performing in one of the remix versions of the track.
However, that remix may have some difficulty being approved by the song’s producer Dr Luke, who [we hope] jokingly wrote on Twitter in May: "can somebody get me the Rebecca Black a capella for "Friday" ??? also, instrumental"
Meanwhile, Katy Perry has set up both a Twitter account and Facebook page for the fictional star of her upcoming video, which is set for release on June 14th. ‘Kathy Beth Perry’ has alrady earned almost 20,000 followers on Twitter despite her account being created only hours ago.
