Mike Oldfield to Release Deluxe Edition of ‘Incantations’

Multi-instrumentalist Mike Oldfield is to re-release his fourth album ‘Incantations’ on 25th July in a special new Deluxe Edition. The album was originally released in 1978 and was Oldfield’s first and only double album. Mike Oldfield has released well over 20 albums during his 40-year career – the most recent being his 2008 album ‘Music of the Spheres’. However, he is probably best-known for his debut, the prog-rock classic ‘Tubular Bells’, which was released in 1973.

The Deluxe Edition of ‘Incantations’, which has been re-mastered by Oldfield himself, includes a variety of rare material as well as a new mix on DVD. It also features footage from Oldfield’s 1978 tour that supported the album. This new re-issue of ‘Incantations’ follows the previously-released Deluxe Editions of his first three albums, ‘Tubular Bells’, ‘Hergest Bells’, and ‘Ommadawn’.

500 copies of the vinyl version of ‘Incantations’ have been signed by Oldfield and are available through his official website.
