Justin Timberlake To Play Key Role In Myspace Resurrection

Fresh from his role as Napster found Sean Parker in the Social Network, Justin Timberlake is looking to get much more involved in a different social network – struggling site MySpace.

After MySpace was surprisingly bought last Wednesday for a lowly $35million, it was unclear what direction the once dominant website would move in. But now, new owner’s Specific Media have brought in the ‘Cry Me a River’ singer to improve the ‘creative’ aspect of what will be a new –look MySpace.

Specific Media CEO Tim Vanderhook apparently spoken to Timberlake prior to their bid for the website – and evidently, the move paid off as the singer-songwriter-actor admitted he would love to be involved, and will be the site’s new ‘creative force’.

“Justin is going to be the creative force behind MySpace”, revealed Vanderhook. “[He will] help us drive the strategy of what the tools need to be for artists and what the community should look like.

“Justin will have an office at the MySpace offices. He'll have a staff of about a half dozen people working on his behalf executing his ideas.

“Of course he's a busy guy with multiple careers, so when his time is open he'll be there to do things himself.”

Specific Media and MySpace fans worldwide must be hoping that Timberlake helps the site bring it’s sexy back.
