Airship Announce New Single, New Album & New Tour Dates

Manchester-based indie rockers Airship have confirmed details of ‘Algebra’, the latest single to be taken from their forthcoming debut album ‘Stuck In This Ocean’, both of which are due for release on 5th September. The band have also announced an extensive UK tour to follow the album’s release, which will run throughout September, October and November – see below for dates and tickets.
The album ‘Stuck In This Ocean’ was recently completed at South Wales’s legendary Rockfield Studios. It was produced by Dan Austin, who has previously worked with Doves and Cherry Ghost, with assistance from Doves’ keyboard player Martin Rebelski and Editors’ guitarist Chris Urbanowicz. The single ‘Algebra’ follows last month’s ‘Kids’, which received airplay on Radio 1, XFM and 6Music.
The band’s forthcoming autumn tour dates follow recent appearances at Manchester festivals Friends of Mine and Beached. Airship will also be performing at next weekend’s Kendal Calling on Friday 29th July.
Airship formed in 2008 and released their debut EP last year. In addition to their recent support dates with New York’s Ra Ra Riot, the band have also been out on recent tours with a number of other renowned acts including Biffy Clyro, Editors, The Joy Formidable and Frightened Rabbit.
