East 17 Want Take That Cage Fight

Veteran pop group East 17 have attempted to boost struggling sales and falling popularity – by challenging megastars Take That to a charity CAGE FIGHT.

East 17 frontman Tony Mortimer proposed the publicity stunt in an interview with Star magazine in hopes to get East 17 back to it’s super-selling best.

“We are hoping for a charity cage fight,” revealed Blair Deeran. “When we see them, we are going to put them all in headlocks.”

I don’t know whether the boy-band are looking to cash in after the monumental Progress tour, but the East 17 lads couldn’t keep Take That off their mind as they continued on to take digs at the group’s foremost members Robbie Williams and Gary Barlow.

“I don’t know about that song Gary Barlow and Robbie did together. That Brokeback Mountain one!” said founding member Terry Caldwell. Mortimer then went on to discuss Robbie’s solo career.

“Robbie was a stadium filler, so it helps they have him back. I’m just ringing him up now and asking if he can join us!”

There has been no response from Take That yet, but it seems there are more chances of Liam Gallagher writing Noel a formal apology letter than the two pop groups getting into a ring/cage together. However, if you want to catch the former Pop kings on tour, check the dates and tickets below.
