Eric Ness Reveals Details Of Debut Ep 'All The Things You Are'

'All The Things You Are' is the debut EP from hotly-tipped Scandinavian singer-songwriter Eric Ness. With a sound that combines ragged jazz with bouncy big band music and a pop-rock sensibility, 'All The Things You Are' looks set to cement the Camden-based songsmith as a real act to watch out for this summer.

Produced by Jan Erik Kongshaug (Keith Jarret, Jan Garbarek) in Rainbow Studios Oslo, the EP is musically bold and lyrically clever. From opening track 'All The Things You Are' with its pop-punk energy and ramshackle brass that echo the sound of Paolo Nutini, and 'Valentine' which showcases Eric’s amazing vocals that soar from a gravelly blues growl, to a crisp and pure falsetto in one fluid motion, to 'Supah Glue' with its sun-soaked harmonies, the EP captures Eric’s joie de vivre and makes the perfect soundtrack to a summers afternoon. The title track is also accompanied by an MTV-friendly video produced by German filmmaker Sergej Hein that sees Eric transform into London’s very own superman. Check it out below.

Originally from Norway, Eric’s early forays into music were rooted in the folk songs that he learnt from the local community at a young age. This has now influenced his recent live performances in the UK and Europe, which have seen progressively growing audiences unable to resist the chirpy lyrics and upbeat sound.

Eric has toured Europe and America and is influenced by the music of such greats as Tom Waits, The Beach Boys and Django Reinhardt. Since moving to London he has supported Ed Sheeran and Django Django and received impressive live reviews.
