Grammy-winning Country Trio Lady Antebellum Announce New Album

US country music trio Lady Antebellum, who received five Grammys at this year’s awards ceremony in February, are to release their new album ‘Own the Night’ on 3rd October. The album is the group’s third to date and is preceded by a single ‘Just a Kiss’, which is out now – watch the video below. The track entered the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 upon its release in the US earlier this year.
In 2010, Lady Antebellum released their second album ‘Need You Now, which topped the Billboard 200 in the States and reached Number 8 in the UK Albums Chart. The album won Best Country Album at this year’s Grammy Awards, while the title track received four prizes including Song of the Year.
Speaking about the new album, singer Charles Kelley said: “We took more time to write and record this record than we've ever done before. I remember looking at Hillary and Dave at the Grammys this year, on the wildest night of our lives, and saying ‘this is amazing… we'll never get to experience a moment like this again’, but now we have to go home and get to work.”
Lady Antebellum were formed in Nashville, Tennessee in 2006 by singers Charles Kelley and Hillary Scott and guitarist Dave Haywood. In 2008, they released their eponymous debut album, which reached Number 4 in the Billboard 200.
