Page 44 Crowned Red Bull Bedroom Jam 2011 Champions

Monday night, August 22nd, the Red Bull Studios London played host to the live final of this year's Red Bull Bedroom Jam, where Birmingham-based four-piece Page 44 were crowned the 2011 champion!

The final three bands to reach the final were Acoda, Hill Valley High and Page 44, each chosen from this year's festival eight by an expert panel of judges. The three bands battled it out in a head-to-head live streamed show, each playing one track from their repertoire, after which it was put to the public to decide who would be crowned champion.

Playing 'Answers', the track that they originally uploaded to www.redbullbedroomjam.com at the start of the season and surrounded by fans, friends and family, Page44 won over the crowds both in the studio and watching at home online. Red Bull Bedroom Jam judges Andy Copping (Download Festival), Beckie Sugden (The Agency Group) and Ben Patashnik (Editor of Rock Sound) have been watching each of the bands progress through the stages, and were again impressed by the standard of the performances.

Check out the performance below.

Commenting on Page44's victory Ben Patashnik said: "From the beginning of Red Bull Bedroom Jam it's been clear Page44 are hugely talented, and their performances throughout the Festival Tour were as exciting as we'd all hoped. They're worthy champions, and I reckon they'll do very well in the future."

Following the rock-and-roll summer of their lives, having been taken on tour with the Red Bull Bedroom Jam festival stage, the band will now spend two weeks in the Red Bull Studios London to record new material at a professional level. With the support of Red Bull the band will then take their experience to the next level in the autumn by joining Welsh rock heroes and headliners at this year's live final The Blackout on their UK tour.
