John Foxx and The Maths Announce First-Ever UK Tour & Tickets

Former Ultravox frontman and solo artist John Foxx has revealed details of a UK tour with his new project John Foxx and The Maths. The project is a duo featuring Foxx and electronic music artist Benge aka Ben Edwards. The pair will play a nine-date tour that includes two shows at London’s XOYO – see below for all dates and tickets.

Earlier this year, John Foxx and The Maths released their debut album ‘Interplay’, which has since garnered a number of praising reviews.

John Foxx was a founding member and the original frontman of the New Wave group Ultravox from their formation in 1974. He appeared on the band’s first three albums before leaving in 1979 to pursue a solo career, at which point he was replaced by Midge Ure. Foxx has previously worked with a number of other artists such as Brian Eno, Krautrock producer Conny Plank, Leftfield’s Paul Daley and Cocteau Twins guitarist Robin Guthrie. He has been cited as an influence by the likes of Gary Numan and The Klaxons.

Benge released his debut album ‘Electro-orgoustic Music’ in 1995 through his own Expanding Records, which he originally setup for the purpose of launching the album. The label has since expanded to release music by a number of artists worldwide.
