Van Halen Finish Mastering New Album

Iconic Californian rockers Van Halen have revealed that they’ve finished the mixing stages of their new album – which features original vocalist David Lee Roth.

The band have been working on the new LP for at least two years, and it has finally been recorded and now mixed, meaning the release of the eagerly-anticipated album can’t be too far away. And who knows – a tour could follow.

After a summer period of mixing and cleaning up the recorded tracks, the band are expected to enter the mastering stage this month to perfect the album – and when the mastering stage is complete, a release should be right round the corner. It can’t come soon enough for Van Halen fans, though, as they’ve been without a new album for over 13 years.

Some fans were so eager, in fact, that a track apparently called ‘Late Term’ leaked last month as the rush for new Van Halen tunes gets bigger and bigger. The leak was quickly solved though, and there have been no other problems surrounding the release.

While no date has been set, the album can’t be too far away from hitting our shelves – but we’ll let you know when it does. Stick with Stereoboard for future Van Halen news.
