Michael Pedicone Releases Statement Following MCR Sacking

Ex-My Chemical Romance drummer Michael Pedicone has released a statement to Kerrang! magazine in an attempt to clear up the events which saw him thrown out of the band.

It was initially reported that the musician was caught red-handed stealing from the band, but it now appears that there may have been more than met the eye regarding the situation. Writing to rock magazine Kerrang!, the sticks-man claimed there were “issues” with another crew member and that he had “no intention of profiting.”

“Rather than address the issues that I had with the crew member in an open and honest manner, I tried to make them look irresponsible,” said Pedicone. “My intention was to make this person look incompetent.

“I had no intention of profiting whatsoever. Again, I cannot overstate how poor my judgment was in this situation; it was a tremendous mistake, and it's one I'll regret for years to come.

“I would have liked an opportunity to share my side of the story with MCR, an opportunity to express my remorse. I was never given one. Thank you, Michael Pedicone.”

Pedicone was apparently shopped to the police after the incident, but it’s unknown if he faces any consequences or whether any charges were pressed. My Chemical Romance have recruited hardcore metal drummer Jarrod Alexander to fill in for the rest of their US tour.
