One Directions Tipped To Claim Take That's Boy Band Crown

One Direction have been hotly tipped to surpass Take That’s level of success by *shock* mogul Simon Cowell, who just happens to be their label boss.

The group have been on the rise since their third-place finish in last year’s X-Factor competition, and now they’ve been put in even higher regard by the Cowell prior to the release of their first ever single and album.

“You’re going to see an explosion happen here the likes of which we haven’t seen since Take That,” said Cowell. “And I think that’s exciting. There is just a buzz in the air. I can feel it at the moment”

One Direction have got a long way to go in emulating Take That’s accomplishments, especially after their absolutely massive UK tour which sold out completely at every venue, including eight nights at Wembley.
