Primus Announce Two April 2012 London Shows

Funk rock veterans Primus have announced two 2012 London dates to coincide with the release of their seventh studio album ‘Green Naugahyde’, which came out today.

After eight years without a fresh release and over ten years since their last full LP, Primus finally entered the studio in October last year to record ‘Green Naugahyde’, the first album to feature drummer Jay Lane alongside original bassist and vocalist Les Claypool as well as long time guitarist Larry LaLonde. And, to celebrate, the Californian trio will play two dates in London’s Royal Albert Hall in April next year, after they tour the US through autumn.

Primus are a band who’ve been at the forefront of the alternative rock scene since their debut album ‘Suck on This’ hit shelves in 1989. Since then the band have put out six more albums, and also penned and recorded the infamous theme tune for South Park, which we all know and love. 22 years later and the band are still going strong, and despite going ten years without an album load of fresh material Primus toured extensively in the 2000’s, touring the world from 2010-2011 as well as festival dates through the years.

With US tour dates going right through autumn and winter, the band have booked themselves in for two nights in London – with more dates possibly on the way. If you want to catch Primus in London next April, check the dates and details below.

Primus UK dates are as follows:

Wed 4th April 2012 – Royal Albert Hall, London
Thurs 5th April 2012 – Royal Albert Hall, London
