Rihanna Cancels Gig After Checking Into Hospital

R&B chart-topper Rihanna was forced to cancel a show in Malamo yesterday (October 31st) after being admitted to hospital. The ‘Loud’ singer, who is currently performing her way through a lengthy European tour, was taken ill with an unnamed virus.
The singer, who is still set to play across the UK and 10 dates at London’s O2 arena next month, was apologetic to fans who were to attend the show. Speaking through an official statement, the ‘S&M’ star said: "I am sorry to everyone who was coming out to my show in Malmo, Sweden. I was so excited to perform for you all. It would have been a great time and so much better than being sick with the flu, ugh! I'm really disappointed I couldn't be there".
Posting on her Twitter account, the Barbadian star also uploaded a picture of her arm, hooked up to an IV drip with a hospital wrist tag. The singer has not yet confirmed if tonight’s (November 1st) performance in Stockholm will be affected by her illness.
Rihanna is set to release her sixth LP ‘Talk Talk Talk’ on November 21st. You can listen to the lead single from the album, ‘We Found Love’ below:
