Rihanna To Headline London's Wireless Festival 2012

Last week Stereoboard reported that an announcement from London's Wireless Festival was imminent, today organisers have confirmed Rihanna as the first Wireless 2012 headliner, playing London's Hyde Park on Sunday 8th July.

Having sold a staggering 300,000 tickets for her UK dates which include a record breaking ten shows at London's O2 arena, Rihanna has confirmed that her headlining appearance at next year's Wireless will be her Only UK live date of 2012!

2012 will see Wireless head into it's 8th year as a multi-day festival in the heart of London. Set in the surroundings of Hyde Park and taking place over multiple stages, Wireless Festival delivers some of the biggest and best of today’s dance, pop and rock acts.

The event's legendary dance day has seen performances from Daft Punk, Fatboy Slim, Basement Jaxx, Underworld, Deadmau5, Dizzee Rascal, Klaxons, 2manydjs, LCD Soundsystem and many more. Past years have also included headliners such as Jay-Z, P!nk, Depeche Mode, Kasabian, Morrissey, Kanye West, Massive Attack, White Stripes and The Strokes.
