Wednesday, 09 November 2011 Written by Rob Sleigh

Oxford-based indie-pop quintet Alphabet Backwards are to release their new EP ‘British Explorer’ on 28th November. The band recently made a video for the EP’s lead single ‘Taller’, which is available to watch below. Alphabet Backwards will be playing at a number of live dates around the UK throughout November and December – see below for dates and tickets.

Explaining the band’s new single ‘Taller’, Alphabet Backwards frontman James Hitchman said: “It’s about seeing an ex-girlfriend on the street with her new boyfriend, feeling belittled about it and wondering if she still misses you, prefers you to the new boyfriend and wants you back.”

Alphabet Backwards were originally founded by James as one man and his guitar, but he later expanded the line-up to include a few friends he enjoyed playing with. Band member Josh - of the T-Mobile JoshWard84 ad campaign – then enlisted his sister Steph to join James on vocals.
