Chvrches' Martin Doherty And Jonny Scott Announce Debut Album As The Leaving 'Ultimate Buzz'

The Leaving, a new project from Chvrches' Martin Doherty and long-time collaborator Jonny Scott, have announced their debut album.
'Ultimate Buzz' will arrive on April 24 via Avenue A/Futures ✦/Virgin Records and sees the two Los Angeles-based Scottish musicians and friends team up for a new venture built on a creative partnership that's developed over years working with bands like Chvrches, The Twilight Sad, Mogwai and Idlewild.
Alongside the announcement, the duo have shared a new single, Fluoxetine, an electronic offering that explores belief and loss, inspired by insomnia, hallucinations, and brief moments of euphoria. It follows their earlier tracks Pray and their debut single Saved.
The pair are set to reveal more music as well as details of their debut live shows in the coming weeks.
Chvrches vocalist Lauren Mayberry released her debut solo album, 'Vicious Creature', in 2024. The Scottish band's most recent album is 2021's 'Screen Violence'.
