The Hold Steady’s Craig Finn to Release New Single – Listen Now

Craig Finn, frontman of Brooklyn-based indie rockers The Hold Steady, will release ‘Honolulu Blues’ – the first single from his forthcoming debut solo album ‘Clear Heart Full Eyes’ – on 28th November. Finn’s US record label Vagrant Records have made the track available to be streamed online – listen below.

‘Honolulu Blues’ will be released on 28th November as a limited-edition 7” single, backed by the track ‘Rented Room’, which is also taken from the new album. Finn recently posted the lyrics to ‘Honolulu Blues’ on his Tumblr page. ‘Clear Hear Full Eyes’ is due for release on 23rd January 2012. It’s set to feature a number of special guests including members of White Denim, Phosphorescent, Heartless Bastards and Centro-matic.

Following the album’s release, Finn will be heading out on tour over in the US during February 2012. UK/European dates are expected to be announced soon. Check back with Stereoboard for further announcements.

Craig Finn is the lead vocalist and a founding member of New York’s The Hold Steady, who released their debut album ‘Almost Killed Me’ in 2004. The band have released five albums to date, including 2008’s ‘Stay Positive’, which reached Number 15 in the UK Albums Chart, and last year’s ‘Heaven is Whenever’. Earlier this year, Finn said that the band were due to start writing their sixth album before the end of the year.
