Police Cancel Cardiff Game Gig

American rapper The Game was apparently forced to cancel a gig in Cardiff on Monday (28th) by his biggest and most fierce enemy – the police.

Joining a whole range of hip-hop superstars who’ve been making their way to Britain in the last year, including Snoop Dogg, Public Enemy, Ice Cube and Ghostface Killah, The Game had been touring the country, hitting up venues in London, Birmingham, Manchester and more – before he was due to make his appearance in the Welsh capital.

He was scheduled to be making his appearance at Cardiff’s Student Union – but the show was suddenly shut down on the day for “undisclosed reasons” by the South Wales Police Force. The Students Union hasn’t revealed any of the reasons as to why the police thought it was necessary to shut the gig down – and only mentioned that they were strongly advised to not go ahead with the show. All the police have said so far is that they “advised that there were concerns about the event.”

Fans have been left livid after the abrupt and unplanned cancellation, especially as there are apparently no plans whatsoever to reschedule the show. But The Game didn’t seem too concerned that fans were let down – and seemed more worried about what he was going to do with himself, writing on Twitter: “My Cardiff show was cancelled by the police for undisclosed reasons? So I’ve got an off day in London – any suggestions on what to do?”

One reason the star may not be concerned with the cancellation is that, coincidentally, his birthday just so happened to be the day after. What a coincidence eh?!
