Muse fans can relax, step back from the cliff edge, put the guns down and stop writing their suicide note – Muse are not breaking up! I repeat, Muse are not breaking up!
After a hoax mock-up of an NME.com webpage got tweeted on the band's official twitter page, rumours spread like wild fire across the wires around the world.
The reason for their "supposed break-up" was nothing more than a bitter dispute between the trio.
A representative from the band has spoken out and cleared the whole situation up by clarifying that the band are in fact still together.
While they have taken a short break to allow singer Matt Bellamy to embrace fatherhood, the group have already got the ball rolling on their sixth studio album due to be released in late 2012.NOTE FROM THE EDITOR
