Saturday, 10 December 2011 Written by Rob Sleigh

London-based electronic music duo Goldfrapp have announced details of their first singles compilation, which is due for release on 6th February 2012. ‘The Singles’ features 12 singles from their five albums released to date as well as two new tracks, ‘Yellow Halo’ and ‘Melancholy Sky’. The band have also released a video for ‘Yellow Halo’, which is available to watch below.

In 2000, Goldfrapp released their debut album ‘Felt Mountain’, which was nominated for the Mercury Prize despite not being a commercial success. Goldfrapp were nominated for Grammy Awards for Best Dance Recording and Best Electronic/Dance Album in both 2007 and 2011. In 2004, they won an Ivor Novello Award for the song ‘Strict Machine’ from ‘Black Cherry’.
