Mr Scruff Announces More ‘Keep It Unreal’ Shows for 2012

Manchester-based DJ Mr Scruff has announced three more ‘Keep It Unreal’ shows ahead of his previously-announced date at London’s Koko on Saturday 18th February. He will now also perform dates in Bournemouth, Bristol and Leicester – see below for details and tickets.
Ahead of his 2012 shows, Mr Scruff will be bringing this year to a close with his Keep It Unreal New Year’s Eve Party at Manchester’s Band on the Wall. Scruff is well-known for his marathon DJ sets and his forthcoming dates are to be no exception.
Also in January, nine-piece instrumental collective Introducing will be performing the music of Mr Scruff live at Band on the Wall without the aid of samples. The band have previously performed DJ Shadow’s ‘Endtroducing’ in a similar fashion. DJ Shadow’s 1996 debut is well-known for its heavy use of samples and was even included in the Guinness Book of Records as the first album to be made exclusively from sampled sources. Introducing have toured extensively over the past couple of years with their own fully-live take on the classic album. Their Introducing Take On Mr Scruff shows will take place at Band on the Wall on Friday 13th January and Saturday 14th January.
