Emeli Sandé Unveils 'Next To Me' Video - Plus Album Sampler

Scottish R&B singer Emeli Sandé has unveiled the new video to her track ‘Next to Me’, as well as giving fans a taste of every track from her forthcoming debut album ‘Our Version of Events’, which hits shelves on February 13th. Emeli’s 3rd single ‘Next to Me’ was, according to her, was written about her true love – music. It features the lyrics “You won’t find him drinking under tables/ rolling dice and staying out till 3/you won’t ever find him being unfaithful/ you will find him next to me.” ‘Next to Me’ hits shelves on February 6th, and has now got its own promotional music video to go with it – you can check that out below.

‘Our Version of Events’ is the Critic's Choice award winner's debut album, and was written entirely by the 24 year-old herself, alongside her friend and producer/songwriter Shahid ‘Naughty Boy’ Khan. The album features 14 original tracks and you can hear a preview of each and every one of them in the embedded sampler below.

Like many classic debut albums before it, Sandé's debut is a moment in musical time. Credible without attempting to be too ‘cool’, heartbroken yet crazy in love, it is considered without trying to be too clever. This is a distinctly British record with undeniable global appeal, created by one of the most exciting debut artists we have seen in recent years.
