Wretch 32 'Angry' At Not Receiving BRIT Nomination

London-based grime star Wretch 32 has revealed how he was angry at not receiving a nomination for this year’s BRIT Awards, though he admitted that ‘people don’t realise how hard it is to get there’.

Wretch, a.k.a Jermaine Scott, was speaking to the Daily Star when he told of his disappointment at not even receiving a nomination for any award at the ceremony, which will take place next month. But, although he got angry, he revealed how he quickly got over it – and suggested that people knew he should have received a nod.

“The Brits are such a big deal; it would have been huge to have been nominated,” Scott told the tabloid paper. “But after an hour of being angry, I just sat back and went, 'Hey, it wasn't mean to be'. It's sad not to be nominated, but if you're not in the running when everybody knows you should have been, then that's cool.”

He continued on to say: “When you get massive love from supporters, none of the other stuff matters. It may look like someone's had overnight success, but that's never the case. People don't realise how hard it is to get here.”
