Jamaican Star Elephant Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Rape

Jamaican dancehall musician and rapper Elephant Man has been arrested in his country on suspicion of rape, according to reports.

The 36 year-old was arrested at his home in Jamaica after his alleged victim went to the police on Monday (January 30th), and will face charges of rape and sexual assault. The incident reportedly took place in his house in St. Andrews, with the victim a 31 year-old woman.

Elephant Man, a.k.a O’Neill Bryan, has since posted a $400,000 bail fee after appearing at a provisional court date yesterday in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court, with his first hearing set for May 21st. He was described as ‘in an upbeat mood’ by witnesses at the courts.
