Deaf Club 'Sunday' Streams On Soundcloud & UK Live Dates Announced

Deaf Club’s debut single, a double-A-side affair featuring the tracks ‘Sunday’ and ‘Mirrors’, is to be released via the band’s own White On White label on 20th February.

The single follows a great 2011 for the young British band. The year saw the five-piece complete their first tour of the UK, and release their debut EP, ‘Lull’, to a great critical reception. BBC Radio 1’s Jen Long told NME, “I have been falling in love with Deaf Club,” and soon invited them to record a session for her Introducing in Wales show. Of the track ‘Hana’, which opens ‘Lull’, BBC and Radio DJ Bethan Elfyn said: “It’s fantastic… it’s just an amazing track.”

You can stream 'Sunday' at the band's Soundcloud page now. Check it out below.

Yesterday afternoon Deaf Club were selected as The Guardian's New Band Of The Day, with Paul Lester noting...  "Deaf Club make connections between disparate genres of music you might not have considered putting together, but now that they do suddenly make sense. They flirt with or fluctuate between goth, shoegaze, chillwave and a rocked-up folk, and it all sounds seamless."

The band are set to build upon this support in 2012. They play a selection of live dates in February and March to support the release of ‘Sunday’/‘Mirrors’ and will follow-up this single with another in the summer as well as further live activity.

Deaf Club 2012 UK Live Dates are as follows:

Feb 24th – Bungalow & Bears, Sheffield
Feb 25th – Oakford Social Club, Reading
Mar 5th – Undertone Basement, Cardiff
