'One Direction Will Be Massive Success In US', Say Big Time Rush

Californian boy-band Big Time Rush have told Digital Spy that they think their British X-Factor counterparts One Direction will be a ‘massive success’ when they come to the states and support them on their tour later this month.
One Direction have been lined-up as the warm-up act for Big Time Rush’s up and coming tour, which kicks off on February 24th. Big Time Rush are already established names in the states, having featured on their own Nickelodeon show, but One Direction have yet to make many appearances there – with their album still not released across the pond. But, their boy-band pals Big Time Rush have reassured them that they’re gonna be big hits.
“We met them the day that we flew over here,” BTR star James Maslow told Digital Spy. “They're just like us, which was so cool. They know how to be charming and fun - they definitely have their fun side. Zayne was like, 'We work hard, play hard'. That's definitely what we're about too.”
His bandmate Carlos Pena continued: “I think that boybands as a whole are really coming back. We started four years ago with Big Time Rush and there were no boybands out at that time. We were very lucky, but these new bands are coming in at an ideal time.
“They're incredibly talented, and I think they're going to have massive success in the US. It doesn't work for everyone, but I think it will for them. Our fans are also One Direction fans, which is a great sign for them. Hopefully we can help each other out in our own countries.”
It seems the One Direction boys are equally as confident that they’ll crack the states, saying: “A lot of people have tried and failed but we want to break the mould and see what we can do. We'll definitely give it a go.”
