Former Cake And Norah Jones Drummer Pete McNeal Arrested On Suspicion Of Child Molestation

Pete McNeal, a former drummer for Californian rockers Cake, has been arrested on suspicion of child molestation and abuse.

The sticksman was reportedly arrested in January earlier this year whilst in LA, and has already posted $250,000 bail. Since then he has appeared in court regarding the charges, which the Rolling Stone reported as “oral copulation and sexual penetration of a child under the age of 10.”

Not only has he been arrested because of the case, but the Los Angeles Police Department has also urged any members of public to contact them – as they think McNeal could have struck more than just once. He has already been arrested on an attempted molestation charge back in 2009, so police are wary that he may have already attacked a number of victims.

McNeal was Cake’s drummer from 2001 to 2004, and has since worked as a session drummer with bands like Norah Jones and Z-Trip.
