Sir Tom Jones, Sir Elton John and Sir Paul McCartney are among some of the names announced for the Queen’s up and coming Diamond Jubilee celebrations this June 4th.

The event has been organised by Take That superstar Gary Barlow and will be held to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, which represents her 60 years in the throne. The show will take place at the Queen Victoria Memorial, which is situated at the front of Buckingham Palace, and will be attended by royals and celebrities alike.

Alongside Elton John and Paul McCartney, stars like Dame Shirley Bassey, Jessie J, Jools Holland, Ed Sheeran, JLS, Madness, Cliff Richard, Annie Lennox, Alfie Boe, and Lang Lang.

Talking of the event, Barlow said: “The Diamond Jubilee concert will celebrate the 60 years of The Queen's reign with an amazing line-up of world-class artists coming together to play at one of the biggest and most exciting live music shows in recent years.

“With Buckingham Palace as a backdrop, it's going to be a fantastic event which transcends multiple decades of music. It'll be a great, unique, experience for the thousands attending, watching on TV and listening on Radio. I can't wait!”

There will be 10,000 free tickets to the event which will be given out via a national ballot – but for those not lucky enough to win tickets, you’ll be able to watch the concert on BBC One/One HD, or listen in on BBC Radio 2.

BBC One controller Danny Cohen said: “BBC One is honoured to be the broadcast host of this magnificent concert to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee. This will be a musical event like no other, with Britain's greatest musical stars performing to celebrate this great occasion.”
