Oxford’s The Black Hats Announce Debut Single ‘Kick in the Doors’ – Listen Now

Oxford-based indie-rock trio The Black Hats have announced the release of their debut single ‘Kick in the Doors’, which is due out on 16th April. The track is accompanied by an official music video and is the first to be taken from the band’s new mini-album ‘Austerity for the Hoi Polloi’, which will follow the single on 30th April. ‘Austerity for Hoi Polloi’ is produced by Sam Williams, who has previously worked on albums such as 1995’s ‘I Should Coco’ by Supergrass and Plan B’s 2006 debut ‘Who Needs Actions When You Got Words’.

The Black Hats have announced details of a single launch show at Oxford’s Jericho Tavern to precede the upcoming release. Speaking via their Facebook page, the band said: “So you know the official launch date is 16th April? Well we can't be arsed to wait that long... Come on down to the Jericho Tavern on Saturday 17th March and you can get a very special, limited edition preview copy of the single (First 15 through the door get one free).”

The Black Hats have previously performed at the Wychwood and Cornbury music festivals and have toured with the likes of The Wombats, The Hoosiers and Electric Six.
