Reportedly, some ancient Joy Division and New Order tapes have been found along with guns, gold and other jewellery. Where you ask? In the basement of Jamie Oliver’s new restaurant, of course!
The valuable haul, which is apparently worth around £1.1million, was found during an excavation of the basement of an old Midland bank, which is being renovated and turned into a new Jamie Oliver restaurant. But, instead of hording the treasure like a pirate-chef, Oliver has apparently given everything found so far to the treasury. Boo.
Meanwhile, New Order will be touring the UK for the first time for over five years – as well as performing at a number of festivals this summer.
