Emeli Sande Unhappy At Critics Choice Award Recognition At BRIT Awards Ceremony

Scottish-born soul and R&B singer Emeli Sandé is apparently unhappy with the amount of recognition she received at the BRIT Award ceremony on Tuesday evening – despite winning the Critic’s Choice Award a couple of months ago.
Although she did get a mention at the event, Sandé was hoping that she’d get more appreciation at the event, with a source saying that ‘she deserved a chance to appear in the limelight’ in front of her friends and family.
“Emeli deserved her moment in the limelight in front of her peers, the industry and family,” the insider told The Sun. “She'd been looking forward to it for months and was really disappointed when her win was not properly recognised. She's worked incredibly hard over the last year and what she has achieved has been phenomenal.”
The complaints will probably give more reason for singer-songwriter Lily Allen to complain, as she used Twitter to accuse BRIT chiefs of being sexist after superstar soul singer Adele’s acceptance speech was cut short.
She wrote: “I'd rather hear Adele’s acceptance speech. That was a joke. I can't say I'm surprised. It was like the music industry's attitude to women played out as a metaphor.”
