You Me At Six To Record Thorpe Park Rollercoaster Soundtrack

Surrey theme park, Thorpe Park has joined forces with rockers You Me At Six to create the world's first soundtrack for a rollercoaster.
You Me At Six are to record and release a brand new track, entitled 'The Swarm', to launch a brand new £20 million rollercoaster which is to open at Thorpe Park later this month. Click HERE for further details on The Swarm rollercoaster.
You Me At Six, who recently released their latest album 'Sinners Never Sleep' and won Best British Band at the 2011 Kerrang! Awards, are to attend the 8th March VIP launch of the rollercoaster, also titled 'The Swarm', before the ride is officially opened to the public on 15th March.
Speaking about the partnership with You Me At Six, Mike Vallis, divisional director at Thorpe Park said: “We are enormously excited to be working with You Me At Six to mark the launch of our most extreme rollercoaster to date, The Swarm. At Thorpe Park we strive to give our adrenaline seeking fans an experience that they won’t get anywhere else, so it is hugely exciting that the world’s first dedicated song for a roller coaster will be written for us – I’m sure our customers will jump at the chance to add this track to their iPod playlist.”
In other news, You Me At Six revealed the new music video for their more melodic track ‘No One Does It Better', released on 8h April.
You Me At Six have sold-out their forthcoming biggest headline tour to date. Due to demand extra dates have been added in Manchester and Birmingham and the tour will now culminate in two shows at London’s O2 Academy Brixton on April 2nd and 3rd. The band have also been confirmed as headlining the second stage at this year’s Download Festival on Saturday June 9th.
