Superstar singer Katy Perry has confirmed that she’s already begun work on two new studio albums, which will follow-up 2010’s 3x platinum ‘Teenage Dream’.
Perry’s previous album was a huge success for her and saw her pick up a Juno Award for International Album of the Year as well as hitting #1 in the US, the UK and a range of other countries across the world. But the star isn’t hanging around when it comes to new material and is already working on two brand new records – also admitting that they may not see as much chart success as her last two LPs.
“I don’t want to jinx myself because I haven’t stepped into the studio,” she told MTV News. “I have an idea – I always have an idea. Like, I have an idea for the next two records; it just depends. I don’t want to give too much away. I also don’t want to play the game of trying to continually top myself because eventually it may not always go as I planned.
“I may not get to be able to have another number one, so I’m just gonna do what feels right for me artistically. I’m very inspired at the moment, and so I’m gonna follow my heart as I always have and hopefully people will like it.”
Meanwhile, Perry recently revealed that she’ll be starring in her own 3D concert movie, which is set to hit shelves this summer.
