Sonique Reveals That A 'Sea Of People Dancing' Is Her Perfect Moment

British singer-songwriter and DJ Sonique has confessed that her favourite part of live shows isn't having the crowd's attention, but rather seeing a 'sea of people dancing'.

Sonique releases brand new single 'What You're Doin'' is set for an April 23rd release and the star is planning on performing for the entire summer, starting on April 27th and ending on August 26th. She'll be performing in front of thousands of fans on the tour, which will take her from sunny Ibiza to Russia, but it's not the crowd chanting her name that gets Sonique hyped – it's watching them dance.

Asked by Digital Spy what she thought a perfect DJ set entails, Sonique replied: “It's when everybody is dancing. Just a sea of people dancing all over not looking at me. I don't particularly want them to look at me. I want them to be more involved in themselves and connecting with each other and just dancing, together. That's my ultimate moment and it's happened many times as well.”

While she's lined-up shows in Ibiza, Russia and dozens of other places, it's been a while since she's put on a party in the UK – so Sonique's hoping that a run of British dates won't be too far away.

“The last thing I did was Hyde Park, Party in the Park and all that. I do like to keep busy, it would be nice to do a tour, or to even be a supporting act. I'd like that as long as I'm getting out there and getting busy and people see me, it's fun.”
