Hot-on-the-heels of his performance for music aficionado Jools Holland on BBC2’s ‘Later’, Jake Bugg announces his biggest headline show to date at London’s Scala. Set to play the North London venue on Wednesday 14th November, the young singer songwriter has impressed with his musical style and arresting vocal sounds, which could be calling out from another era.
A boy with a man-sized talent, Bugg arrived on the radar following an appearance on the BBC Introducing Stage at last year’s Glastonbury festival. Hailing from Nottingham, he picked up the guitar at just twelve years of age and since then, the young romantic has been pouring out spine-tingling tunes that are way beyond his years.
Following his Glastonbury performance, Jake signed to Mercury Records and unveiled his debut single ‘Trouble Town’, which Zane Lowe instantly earmarked and made his ‘Single of the Week’. Support for Jake has continued to grow with fans including new music lovers Huw Stephens and Steve Lamacq and upcoming single, ‘Lightning Bolt’, has already been heaped with praise ahead of its June release.
On the stage, Jake is a natural performer, as witnessed in the reaction to his slot at Glastonbury, which cemented his status as one to watch. For more information visit www.jakebugg.com.
