Peter Hook And The Light Announce 'Unknown Pleasures' Tour For November & Tickets

Following their first full UK tour in late May and early June of this year and a recent headline performance at The Hop Farm, Peter Hook And The Light will take 'Unknown Pleasures' on the road to a host of new venues across England in late November. The Light are set to play
the widely acclaimed album sequentially and in its entirety along with other classic and lesser known material from Warsaw and Joy Division’s repertoires.

Receiving great reviews and reactions on the early summer dates, The Light recently completed performing the trilogy of Joy Division’s official album releases with two 'Still' concerts in Manchester in May and have now come to play every single Joy Division track ever released.

Drawing on this in their lengthy, extensive sets, The Light have toured constantly since first performing 'Unknown Pleasures' back in May 2010 and have taken the show across the world to the United States, Canada, Mexico, South America, Australia, New Zealand and practically every European country, drawing crowds that encompass both original Joy Division fans and the younger generation influenced by the band’s material.

With the full performance of 'Unknown Pleasures' at the centre of the show, The Light play the first album in track order replicating the album experience and atmosphere created by legendary producer, Martin Hannett. Hannett’s studio mastery along with the rawness of the bands first album material means that the reputation of the LP remains as powerful as ever, with fans and also the bands who are acknowledged to have taken on the template of Joy Division’s sound in the modern era.

Supports on the tour come from The Shinies at the Coventry, Preston, Leicester, Stoke, Leeds and Newcastle concerts and Tiny Phillips at the Southend, Exeter, Norwich, Portsmouth, Gloucester, and Brighton gigs.

The month prior to the tour, in October 2012 Peter Hook will also publish his second book 'Unknown Pleasures – Inside Joy Division', his follow up to the critically acclaimed 'The Hacienda : How Not To Run A Club.'
